Sales Engineer (Data Analytics)

Location: San Francisco, New York City, or remote within the United States; PST/EST time-zone alignment

OTE: $175,000–$235,000 per year, including base and variable compensation

hirify.global develops a collaborative analytics platform combining notebooks, apps, BI, and AI-native workflows to help teams explore and use data.

What you will do

• Advise data scientists, analysts, data platform leads, and other stakeholders during hirify.global evaluations.
• Own the technical sales cycle from discovery and product demonstrations through trials and proofs of concept.
• Partner with Account Executives on opportunity strategy and technical evaluations.
• Manage customer architecture, security, and technical reviews.
• Share prospect feedback with Engineering and Product teams to inform the roadmap.
• Create evaluation content such as demo projects, documentation, and videos; travel to customer sites and marketing events as needed.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional work experience.
• 2+ years in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Experience with mid-market customers of 250–2,500 employees and technical sales or proof-of-concept motions.
• Familiarity with data science tooling and workflows, including SQL and BI tools.
• Strong customer communication skills, from individual contributors to senior stakeholders.
• Generalist technical skills, creative problem-solving ability, and interest in technology.

Nice to have

• Extensive experience with notebooks, SQL IDEs, or app-building frameworks.
• Experience or interest in working in an early-stage startup environment.
