What you will do

• Design and build scalable APIs using the Elixir Phoenix framework to power core products and services.
• Architect efficient data models and optimize PostgreSQL and Cassandra queries for high-performance large-scale data workloads.
• Utilize Redis in-memory data stores to improve system scalability and responsiveness.
• Lead complex debugging and incident resolution across the entire stack using logging and monitoring tools.
• Mentor engineers through thoughtful code reviews and share expertise to elevate team capabilities.
• Contribute to technical strategy and evolve development practices, including architectural patterns and coding standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience with Elixir designing and building high-performance RESTful web services serving billions of requests.
• High-level experience with SQL infrastructure and data modeling.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic start-up environment and handle ambiguity.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to China or Hong Kong.

Nice to have

• Experience with GoLang or Python.
• Expertise with video streaming libraries (FFmpeg, GStreamer) and video/audio codecs.
• Experience working with live streaming encoders and WebRTC.
• Experience with AI/ML models and applications.
• Experience writing GraphQL queries and mutations.
