11 bit studios is looking for an experienced Lead Designer to join the team working on an unannounced project. In this role, you will collaborate with directors and cross-functional leads to define gameplay pillars, develop core systems, and guide the overall design vision of the game.
You will lead a team of designers, provide mentorship and feedback, and help shape gameplay, combat, systems, story, and level design throughout development.
🚀 Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Directors to define gameplay pillars and support the game vision
• Work with other domain Leads to solve development challenges
• Lead and mentor a team of designers
• Collaborate with other departments on foundational game systems
• Provide feedback on gameplay, combat, systems, story, and level design
• Help define technical requirements and design solutions
• Ensure design quality while working within project constraints
📚 Required Skills
• Experience as a Lead Designer or Design Director
• 8+ years of experience in game design
• Strong experience in gameplay and/or systems design
• Experience designing combat systems
• Experience managing and mentoring design teams
• Ability to work in a hybrid model in Warsaw
• Experience working on indie or AA projects
• Strong understanding of production limitations and opportunities
• English and Polish proficiency at B2 level or higher
• Strong documentation skills
• Ability to define technical requirements
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for games and game development
