TL;DR

Sr. Commercial Counsel (SaaS): Managing commercial contracts and legal operations for a high-growth infrastructure company with an accent on AI-driven process optimization and cross-functional partnership. Location: Must be based in San Francisco, CA with a 3 day/week in-office requirement.

Salary: $250,000 - $270,000

What you will do

  • Serve as the primary legal point of contact for go-to-market and procurement deals.
  • Independently manage and negotiate customer, vendor, partnership, and reseller agreements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and improve scalable contracting processes and playbooks.
  • Draft and maintain agreement templates and fallback positions.
  • Use AI tools to build and refine workflows for increased team efficiency.
  • Advise on regional expansion strategies and support commercial initiatives in EMEA and APAC.

Requirements

  • Qualified and in good standing in California or another US jurisdiction.
  • 10+ years of legal experience, including 5+ years of in-house commercial experience at a technology company.
  • Deep understanding of AI, cloud-based services, and the global regulatory landscape.
  • Strong familiarity with US privacy regulations.
  • Proven ability to independently negotiate technology agreements with enterprise customers.
  • Must be based in San Francisco and able to work from the office 3 days per week.

  • Experience supporting channel and reseller partnerships.
  • Fluency in additional languages.
