TL;DR

Location: Must be based in Freetown, Sierra Leone

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (hirify.global) is a specialized agency responsible for addressing agri-food systems and rural development priorities.

What you will do

  • Support the National Project Coordinator (NPC) in overall project implementation, coordination, and collaboration.
  • Engage stakeholders at chiefdom, district, and national levels.
  • Prepare national project technical progress reports every six months according to hirify.global requirements.
  • Assist in the capacity development of government staff and other stakeholders through knowledge sharing activities.
  • Develop project work plans and expenditure plans while identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Provide periodic technical advice to the NPC, NDA, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, and the GCF Focal Person.

Requirements

  • Must be a national of Sierra Leone or have valid authorization to work in Freetown.
  • In-depth understanding of GCF operations, NAP development, and climate risk assessment.
  • Strong results focus and ability to meet project deliverables.
  • Master’s degree in climate change, project management, business administration, or a related area is an added advantage.
  • Master’s degree in land governance is an added advantage.
