What you will do

• Lead and coordinate the livestock team in consultation with project managers.
• Provide high-level technical and strategic guidance to improve livestock production.
• Strengthen animal health systems and support market-oriented livestock value chains.
• Lead the development of project proposals and technical interventions related to livestock.
• Collaborate with emergency, resilience, and field teams within the country office.

Requirements

• PhD degree in Veterinary Science, livestock production systems, animal health, or a related scientific field.
• Master's degree in a relevant field may be accepted if combined with an additional 2 years of relevant livestock experience.
• Proven results focus and ability to lead technical teams.
• Must be based in or have authorization to work in Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic.
• Working experience with UN Agencies is preferred.
