TL;DR

Location: Based in Portugal (Hybrid: minimum 2 days per week in the office)

What you will do

• Own month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Manage specific accounting entities to ensure accuracy and timely financial delivery.
• Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate processing and payment controls.
• Analyze financial movements and variances to provide clear insights to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, preparing documentation and managing follow-ups.
• Drive improvements in Finance processes, controls, and reporting to support scalable ways of working.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics.
• Certified Accountant (Contabilista Certificado) status or equivalent.
• Solid experience in financial accounting within international tech, marketplace, or e-commerce environments.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close activities.
• Must be based in Portugal.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with Workday Financials.
