Engineering Manager (Fintech): Leading the Verifications Team to build and scale a greenfield verifications engine for hirify.global Pay with an accent on multi-provider redundancy and high-throughput API integrations. Focus on designing fault-tolerant integration architectures, managing third-party KYC/AML vendors, and scaling systems for high concurrent requests.

Location: Hybrid (Kaunas or Vilnius, Lithuania). 2 days in the office are recommended.

Salary: €6,658 — €9,008 EUR gross monthly

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow a talented team of engineers, fostering a culture of trust, safety, and accountability.
• Drive the architectural abstraction of KYC/AML verification flows to ensure multi-provider redundancy and smart-switching.
• Scale the verifications engine to handle high volumes of concurrent requests per second (RPS) with tight latencies.
• Manage technical relationships and SLAs with external global technology providers and vendors.
• Partner with Product Managers to drive early-stage discovery and map out technical sequencing.
• Own the team's delivery against the product roadmap and lead agile execution.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading teams and driving cross-department software initiatives in fast-paced product environments.
• Strong background in distributed backend systems, specifically with external API structures, webhooks, and async communication.
• Ability to guide technical decision-making and facilitate high-level architectural conversations.
• Strong product mindset with the ability to connect backend reliability to customer onboarding and regulatory compliance.
• Outstanding communication skills for stakeholder management across Product, Compliance, and Legal teams.
• Must be based in or be able to work from Kaunas or Vilnius, Lithuania.
