TL;DR
Senior Database Engineer (Fintech): Designing and evolving distributed database architectures for high availability and scalability with an accent on reliability, automation, and performance optimization. Focus on managing high-load clusters and developing internal platform solutions to ensure system stability under heavy global workloads.
Location: Hybrid in Limassol, Cyprus. Full relocation support available for the employee and family.

What you will do
- Design and evolve distributed database architectures for high availability and scalability.
- Own replication strategies, failover mechanisms, and data consistency models.
- Troubleshoot complex performance bottlenecks and optimize high-load queries.
- Implement automation for database operations using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
- Define database security standards and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and drive adoption of operational best practices.
Requirements
- 4–7+ years of experience in database engineering or DBA roles.
- Deep expertise in at least two production-grade platforms (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MongoDB, or Cassandra).
- Strong experience with HA/DR strategies and database clustering.
- Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Experience with automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Must be based in or be able to relocate to Limassol, Cyprus.
