What you will do

• Design and evolve distributed database architectures for high availability and scalability.
• Own replication strategies, failover mechanisms, and data consistency models.
• Troubleshoot complex performance bottlenecks and optimize high-load queries.
• Implement automation for database operations using IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Define database security standards and ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and drive adoption of operational best practices.

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of experience in database engineering or DBA roles.
• Deep expertise in at least two production-grade platforms (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MongoDB, or Cassandra).
• Strong experience with HA/DR strategies and database clustering.
• Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience with automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Limassol, Cyprus.
