What you will do

  • Independently handle AML, sanctions, and compliance cases within the assigned scope.
  • Conduct CDD/EDD reviews, corporate onboardings, and comprehensive risk assessments.
  • Perform sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and SAR escalations.
  • Utilize blockchain analytics tools like Chainalysis and Elliptic, and KYC/KYB platforms like Sumsub.
  • Review and maintain compliance policies and internal documentation.
  • Propose and implement process improvements to reduce backlogs and remove operational bottlenecks.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in AML, compliance, or risk management within a regulated EU crypto or fintech entity.
  • Strong knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks including MiCA, AMLD, Travel Rule, and PSD2.
  • Hands-on daily experience with blockchain monitoring and KYC/KYB verification tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and direct experience conducting risk assessments.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work from the office in Riga.

Nice to have

  • Experience across multiple jurisdictions such as US, CA, UK, or AUS.
  • CAMS, ICA, or equivalent professional certifications.
  • Experience working in a scale-up or high-growth environment.
