What you will do
- Independently handle AML, sanctions, and compliance cases within the assigned scope.
- Conduct CDD/EDD reviews, corporate onboardings, and comprehensive risk assessments.
- Perform sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and SAR escalations.
- Utilize blockchain analytics tools like Chainalysis and Elliptic, and KYC/KYB platforms like Sumsub.
- Review and maintain compliance policies and internal documentation.
- Propose and implement process improvements to reduce backlogs and remove operational bottlenecks.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in AML, compliance, or risk management within a regulated EU crypto or fintech entity.
- Strong knowledge of EU regulatory frameworks including MiCA, AMLD, Travel Rule, and PSD2.
- Hands-on daily experience with blockchain monitoring and KYC/KYB verification tools.
- Strong analytical skills and direct experience conducting risk assessments.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Ability to work from the office in Riga.
Nice to have
- Experience across multiple jurisdictions such as US, CA, UK, or AUS.
- CAMS, ICA, or equivalent professional certifications.
- Experience working in a scale-up or high-growth environment.
