What you will do

• Design and implement scalable safety systems for real-time content moderation and safeguard enforcement across images, video, and audio.
• Build infrastructure to monitor and mitigate risks such as bias, deepfakes, and intellectual property misuse at a global scale.
• Develop pipelines and evaluation frameworks for rapid iteration of safety policies in collaboration with researchers and policy teams.
• Architect feedback loops between user interactions and model outputs to continuously improve safety and performance.
• Own the full development cycle of safety features from problem definition and prototyping to deployment and incident response.
• Partner with Imagine engineering and product teams to embed safety into core multimodal features.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Rust with a track record of writing clean, efficient, and scalable code.
• Experience building production-grade trust and safety or content moderation systems for large-scale consumer products.
• Expertise in developing real-time detection systems or data pipelines for high-throughput AI applications.
• Proven ability to deliver robust solutions that maintain high uptime and performance for millions of users.
• Must be located in or able to work from Palo Alto, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with multimodal generative AI safety in production environments.
• Familiarity with ML classifiers, red-teaming, or adversarial testing for media generation models.
• Background in distributed systems, Kubernetes, and observability tools.
• Previous experience in model alignment or anti-abuse for consumer AI products.
