TL;DR
QA Lead (Automation/SDET) (Java/Playwright): Designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and validating web interfaces and REST APIs with an accent on Playwright, Java, Cucumber BDD, and database testing. Focus on developing automation strategies, integrating CI tools, and leading quality processes in Agile Scrum environments.

hirify.global is hiring for a contracted QA automation leadership role.

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and maintain keyword-driven, data-driven, and BDD automation frameworks using Cucumber.
  • Develop UI automation with Playwright and maintain Selenium Java automation.
  • Automate REST APIs with Java-based HTTP clients such as Rest Assured and perform API testing with Postman.
  • Develop automated testing strategies using multiple tools and support Agile QA and software development processes.
  • Work within an onshore-offshore delivery model and Agile Scrum teams.

Requirements

  • 9–12 years of overall experience, including at least 4 years of Java programming experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Java Collections, design patterns, Streams, and object-oriented programming.
  • At least 2 years of expert-level Playwright UI automation experience.
  • Expert experience with Selenium Java frameworks and REST API automation using Rest Assured.
  • Solid understanding of API testing with Postman and JSON/XML data structures.
  • Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
  • Knowledge of CI tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab.
  • Excellent knowledge of Agile QA and development processes and the software development/testing life cycle.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and Agile Scrum skills; experience with onshore-offshore work models.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing a successful automated testing strategy using multiple tools.
  • Airline domain experience, preferably with Sabre.
