Location: Must be based in Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid role)

What you will do

  • Develop and own country-wide fraud prevention policies and detection systems.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of investigators and analysts to manage KPIs and systemic fraud risks.
  • Partner with Legal and Internal Audit to progress criminal investigations and disciplinary proceedings.
  • Build internal capability to anticipate and mitigate fraud before it materializes.
  • Embed a culture of fraud awareness through training and control gap assessments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in fraud risk prevention, detection, or investigation within banking, FinTech, or payments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminology or a related field.
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) or comparable certification.
  • Advanced analytical skills using Excel, PowerBI, or similar data visualization tools.
  • Proven leadership experience managing both field-based and desk-based teams.
  • Must be based in Nigeria and able to work from the Lagos office.

Nice to have

  • Experience in criminal justice or former police fraud investigation units.
