What you will do

• Design, build, and operate high-throughput Java/Kotlin services for ad servers and delivery pipelines.
• Own systems end-to-end, including API design, ingestion flows, transformation, and caching.
• Work across the stack using Rust, Kafka, Terraform, and relational databases to solve complex technical problems.
• Improve performance, observability, and resiliency of critical production systems.
• Partner with Product and Project leads to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and raise engineering standards through code reviews and design discussions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade backend systems in Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems design and operation.
• Solid SQL fundamentals including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka and asynchronous processing patterns.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or LLM copilots.
• Experience working with Rust or infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
