TL;DR

Platform DevOps Engineer (AWS/Terraform): Designing and operating critical platform services for an iGaming platform with an accent on CDN, DNS, WAF, and edge computing. Focus on transitioning workloads from on-premise to cloud-native AWS infrastructure and optimizing delivery at the edge.

Location: Hybrid in Malta (3 days office / 2 days home)

What you will do

  • Manage and optimize CDN, DNS, WAF, and edge functions (NodeJS) to ensure high reliability, security, and performance.
  • Design and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, following GitOps best practices.
  • Build automation workflows with Ansible to improve deployment velocity and reduce manual effort.
  • Support the organizational transition from on-premise infrastructure to AWS cloud-native workloads.
  • Collaborate with container platform teams to integrate workloads with Kubernetes.
  • Define and track metrics, logs, and traces to proactively detect issues and improve system resilience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience.
  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS services (CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, Route 53, WAF, EC2, S3, IAM).
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Git/GitOps workflows, and Ansible.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes and the ability to integrate workloads.
  • Experience with IIS application management and scripting (JavaScript/NodeJS preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, DNS, and CDN routing.

Nice to have

  • AWS Cloud practitioner certification or higher.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and ITIL best practices.
