Senior Python Developer (AWS)

TL;DR

Senior Python Developer (AWS/FastAPI): Integration of custom applications with client-based systems for federal agencies with an accent on microservices architecture and ETL processes. Focus on building FastAPIs for content display, designing enterprise search systems, and implementing large-scale AWS infrastructure using Terraform.

What you will do

• Build FastAPIs for content display and develop scalable microservices.
• Design and implement ETL processes for data integration.
• Develop both front-end and back-end code to integrate custom applications with client systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally in an Agile environment to support emerging client needs.
• Mentor peers and junior developers in Python design and best practices.

Requirements

• 8+ years of solid Python development and OOP programming experience.
• U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination.
• Experience with API development, Microservices, and container technologies (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with large-scale AWS solutions, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Postgres, MySQL, and search engines such as Solr or Elasticsearch.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Prior experience working with the federal government.
• Specific expertise with FastAPIs.
