Lead Application Developer (Backend)

TL;DR

Lead Application Developer (Backend): Developing and maintaining complex application solutions for DTAG with an accent on transitioning from monolithic systems to decoupled API architecture. Focus on cloud migration (AWS, Azure, GCP), mentoring experienced developers, and aligning technical stacks with business goals.

Location: Remote from Slovakia only

Salary: Base salary from €4,100 gross

What you will do

• Develop and maintain source code for complex application solutions within a SCRUM team.
• Act as a professional mentor for junior, medior, and senior developers.
• Analyze customer requirements and propose overall application/framework architecture.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Managers to ensure technology stacks align with business vision.
• Provide project estimates and timelines for budget planning and bug fixing.
• Implement security concepts according to PSA policy and DTAG standards.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Information Technologies.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in ICT Systems Engineering.
• Proven experience in a Senior Application development position.
• Expertise in object-oriented programming and general IT skills (HW/SW).
• English: B2 level required.
• Must be based in Slovakia due to taxation regulations.

Nice to have

• Certifications in the relevant tech stack (e.g., Java OCP, .Net MCSA).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices, and Git.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
