Industrial Designer (Starlink)

What you will do

• Translate design strategy into high-impact, technically feasible concepts.
• Rapidly ideate and prototype using 3D printing and physical mockups.
• Deliver high-fidelity surface modeling and renderings for complex hardware.
• Solve ergonomic and mechanical challenges while maintaining brand identity.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to bring prototypes through to production.
• Continuously improve prototyping processes and design tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a design discipline (industrial, transportation, product, or architecture).
• 1+ years of professional experience in industrial or transportation design.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for ITAR authorization.
• Must be local to or willing to relocate to the Bastrop/Austin, TX area.
• Strong visual portfolio demonstrating design sensibility and technical execution.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and offsite when required.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of professional experience as an Industrial Designer.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as NX, Rhino, or SolidWorks.
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
• Experience managing large assemblies and complex design histories.
