Team Lead (MSME Finance): Providing strategic and managerial leadership for the MSME Finance Project in Indonesia to address structural constraints limiting access to finance with an accent on establishing an integrated ecosystem. Focus on coordinating MSME capacity building, financial sector strengthening, and market creation through results-based implementation.

Location: Based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Visa sponsorship will be considered.

What you will do

• Provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the MSME Finance Project to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of all activities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted counterpart for MCA-Indonesia II, MCC, and the Government of Indonesia.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with government agencies, industry associations, digital platforms, and market actors.
• Steer technical analyses, sector diagnostics, MSME segmentation strategies, and financial sector assessments.
• Oversee the development and execution of project workplans, budgets, performance targets, and results-based payment mechanisms.
• Manage and evaluate the performance of senior technical experts and project management staff.

Requirements

• This is a bid opportunity; the role is contingent upon the tender award (estimated end of 2026).
• Advanced degree in economics, finance, business, public policy, international development, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience leading complex MSME finance or financial inclusion programs in emerging markets.
• Proven senior leadership experience as Chief of Party or Team Lead on large donor-funded programs.
• Deep experience working within the USG foreign assistance ecosystem, including MCC, State Department, DFC, and EXIM.
• Fluency in English is required; Bahasa Indonesia is preferred.
