Location: Damascus, Syria. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Syria; no work permits or visa sponsorships are provided.

What you will do

  • Oversee mid-value bid/tender reviews, endorse results, and provide detailed analysis to management.
  • Conduct logistics training and orientations for country and area office teams to build local capacity.
  • Improve procurement efficiency by reviewing existing systems and establishing vendor databases and framework agreements.
  • Supervise procurement processes to ensure timeliness and strict compliance with donor regulations.
  • Lead strategic planning for transparent procurement by identifying gaps during proposal planning phases.
  • Maintain comprehensive monitoring reports, including procurement tracking, e-contract management, and vendor evaluations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of senior logistics experience (Coordinator level or above) in humanitarian or recovery contexts.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
  • Deep knowledge of the Syrian context, including the market and sanction programmes.
  • Proven experience in Supply Chain Management and Compliance within complex and volatile environments.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Syria.
