TL;DR

UX Designer (Fintech): Designing end-to-end user journeys for financial services with an accent on balancing business requirements and user needs. Focus on creating inclusive, accessible designs and utilizing central design systems to build cohesive UI elements.

Location: Hybrid (Edinburgh) — requires spending at least two days per week (40% of time) at the office site

Salary: £61,344 - £68,160

What you will do

  • Craft end-to-end user experiences and cohesive journeys using central design systems.
  • Develop high-fidelity prototypes using tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Axure, or Adobe XD.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align business requirements with user needs through research and rationale.
  • Advocate for customer inclusion by creating accessible designs for users of all backgrounds and abilities.
  • Coordinate with development teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications and delivery standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in User Experience or Interaction Design.
  • Proven ability to take full ownership of Interaction Design projects.
  • Strong prototyping and layout skills with the ability to articulate decisions to stakeholders.
  • Experience working with and improving existing design systems.
  • Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative user research to inform the design process.
  • Must be based in or able to commute to the Edinburgh office for hybrid work.
