What you will do

• Lead the strategy, direction, and execution of the Policy Research Lab.
• Collaborate with internal researchers and leading labs across government, industry, and academia.
• Drive initiatives for frameworks and benchmarks for frontier AI models.
• Manage lab projects, partnerships, and strategy, including work with global AI safety institutes.
• Execute the lab's recruiting plan and research agenda.
• Stay engaged with policy and research communities to influence and set trends.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant academic or work experience.
• Track record of impactful research and/or policy contributions in AI Safety.
• Experience leading teams of research scientists and engineers.
• Deep understanding of frontier risk evaluations, AI control, and preparedness research.
• Established connections with government partners and AI safety institutes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Publications at major ML/AI conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP, or CVPR.
