Sr. Mechanical Engineer (Electro-Mechanical)

What you will do

• Design and develop 3D models, detailed mechanical drawings, and BOMs for transformer health monitoring devices.
• Create physical prototypes for proof of concept and conduct mechanical/structural analysis using FEA in SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and EE designers within an Agile/Scrum framework.
• Evaluate new materials, components, and manufacturing methods to optimize quality and cost.
• Perform failure analysis and support the transition of designs into production.
• Conduct design reviews, FMEA, and PFMEA to ensure regulatory compliance and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
• 5-7+ years of experience as a Design Engineer.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD platforms such as Creo or SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
• Experience with DFM, including injection molding, machining, sheet metal forming, and aluminum casting.
• Ability to operate machine tools for prototype refinement.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiarity with JIRA.
• Experience with AI tools for innovation and process enhancement.
