Reporting, Analytics and AI - Senior Lead (Python/SQL/Azure): Delivering governed reporting, advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI products that turn complex enterprise data into trusted insight for senior decision-makers with an accent on semantic modelling, responsible AI, and automation. Focus on building predictive models, LLM-powered analytical tools with RAG, executive-ready visualisations, and scalable Azure/Fabric data solutions.
Location: United Kingdom, including Kings Langley, Glasgow, Larne, Gateshead, Exeter, Milton Keynes, England, Scotland, and Home Worker locations.

What you will do
- Own delivery of reporting, data modelling, advanced analytics, and AI products across complex business domains.
- Apply machine learning to predictive modelling, classification, segmentation, anomaly detection, and forecasting problems.
- Build LLM- and generative-AI-enabled analytical tools, insight products, prompt-engineering workflows, RAG solutions, and intelligent automation.
- Develop semantic and dimensional data models, governed reporting layers, business intelligence solutions, and data products for AI consumption.
- Use Python, SQL, Azure, Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform, and Power Automate to analyse data and reduce manual effort.
- Lead UAT, business validation, working groups, stakeholder engagement, and pentations to senior and executive audiences.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience is required for the role; the essential background specifies 10+ years as a technical analyst delivering advanced analytics and AI solutions.
- Degree in data science, data analytics, or computer science.
- Strong hands-on Python, SQL, data modelling, machine learning, and generative AI skills.
- Experience designing semantic and dimensional models, including star schemas, and delivering enterprise reporting across multiple source systems.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and direct experience with Azure/Fabric cloud data platforms.
- Experience with data governance, quality, ponsible AI, automation tooling, executive communication, stakeholder leadership, and line management.
Nice to have
- Certifications in AI/ML, Power BI, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience working across multiple business domains or in a centre of excellence or shared analytics function.
