Fullstack Engineer (Rust / React)

TL;DR

Fullstack Engineer (Rust / React): Designing and implementing full-stack features using Rust on the backend and React on the frontend with an accent on building secure APIs and corresponding UI components and workflows. Focus on performance improvements both server-side and client-side, and participating in discussions on architecture, patterns and best practices.

Location: Strictly based in Mauritius. Only candidates currently residing in Mauritius will be considered. Applications from outside Mauritius will not be reviewed.

What you will do

• Design and implement full-stack features using Rust on the backend and React on the frontend.
• Build secure APIs and corresponding UI components and workflows.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Ensure quality through automated tests (backend + frontend).
• Contribute to performance improvements both server-side and client-side.
• Work closely with DevOps/SRE on deployment, logging and monitoring concerns.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience (Full-Stack, DevOps/Platform, or SRE).
• Strong Linux fundamentals and production mindset.
• Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of cloud environments (AWS and/or GCP).
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
• Ownership mindset and strong sense of responsibility.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Rust or performance-critical components.
• Experience in security- or privacy-focused products.
