Cybersecurity Analyst (Fintech/Gaming)

TL;DR

Cybersecurity Analyst (SOC/IR): Establishing and scaling a new Cybersecurity function in Serbia to monitor, investigate, and respond to security signals for global products with an accent on security monitoring and incident response. Focus on building operational processes from the ground up, proactive threat hunting, and enhancing detection quality via SIEM and EDR.

Location: Hybrid (Belgrade, Serbia) — minimum 3 days per week in office

What you will do

• Monitor and investigate security events using SIEM, EDR, and email security platforms.
• Lead incident response activities to identify, contain, and resolve security incidents.
• Perform proactive threat hunting and analyze suspicious system behavior across environments.
• Optimize detection quality through alert tuning and rule refinement.
• Collaborate with Global Cybersecurity Engineering, IT, and Platform teams to reduce risk.
• Support vulnerability management and maintain operational documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in SOC, Security Operations, or Incident Response roles.
• Proficiency with SIEM and EDR platforms (platform-agnostic approach).
• Deep understanding of attack techniques (phishing, malware, lateral movement) and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Ability to work in a shift model to provide extended security coverage.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Belgrade office (hybrid: 3+ days/week).
• Strong written English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building or tuning detections and threat hunting.
• Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SC-200, or GCIH.
