TL;DR

Head Environment Artist (Gamedev): Leading the environment art department for a realistic mobile Social RolePlay game with an accent on visual vision, team mentorship, and pipeline optimization. Focus on driving the end-to-end visual quality of the game world, implementing modern production standards, and integrating AI tools into 3D workflows.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from the office in Almaty, Kazakhstan (Hybrid or Onsite).

What you will do

  • Own and execute the environment visual vision, ensuring consistency from concept to final release.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Environment Owners and Leads, fostering a healthy and productive work environment.
  • Build scalable production pipelines and establish visual standards for mobile, PC, and console platforms.
  • Supervise external studios and subject matter experts to solve complex technical and artistic challenges.
  • Research and implement new tools, including AI, to evolve production workflows and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with technical artists and programmers to maintain high visual quality and performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head or Lead Environment 3D Artist.
  • Experience managing teams, including people development and process building.
  • Experience working on released realistic projects, ideally PC titles.
  • Strong knowledge of modern software, optimization techniques, and AI tools in 3D production.
  • Native Russian language proficiency required.
