What you will do
- Lead and coach a Trade & Documentation team of 6 people, fostering a culture of open communication and supporting performance evaluations.
- Ensure end-to-end shipment documentation for road, sea, and air flows is delivered on time and in full, meeting all country-specific requirements.
- Own customs and trade compliance, supervising administration, maintaining licenses, and acting as the primary contact for authorities.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation projects in collaboration with IT to reduce workload and increase process robustness.
- Secure trade accuracy by managing preferential origin checks (FTA), commodity code validation, and sanctioned goods screenings.
- Coordinate with accounting, treasury, and finance to verify correct invoicing and prevent financial discrepancies.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain, or similar (customs specialization is a strong asset).
- Solid experience in an international logistics or trade environment.
- Strong knowledge of customs, trade compliance, and international documentation for road, sea, and air shipments.
- Fluent in English, Dutch, and French (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
