Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

What you will do

• Produce stunning, cinematic lighting schemes for various environments using proprietary engine tools.
• Collaborate with Art Direction and environment teams to ensure aesthetic and IP consistency.
• Optimize lighting setups, shadows, and post-processing for real-time performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve rendering and visual clarity issues while maintaining artistic intent.
• Create and maintain documentation for lighting workflows and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience lighting environments within real-time engines such as Unity or Unreal.
• Strong understanding of lighting theory, color space, and PBR workflows.
• Insight into cinematography and scene blocking to create specific moods.
• Ability to balance high artistic quality with technical and gameplay constraints.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and reside within Canada.

Nice to have

• Passion for grounded, immersive science fiction.
• Experience working with proprietary engines.
• Knowledge of performance profiling and rendering optimization.
