What you will do

• Own the stability and performance of a live hiring events platform operating across multiple U.S. time zones.
• Develop and maintain Python and Django backend applications and integrations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize event-driven workflows using Kafka and asynchronous processing.
• Build and support GraphQL APIs and perform data investigation using SQL and MongoDB.
• Collaborate with Client Support, GTM, and Product teams to triage and resolve production issues.
• Lead, mentor, and onboard other engineers, guiding code merges and production stability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python and Django expertise.
• Proven experience supporting Event Management and Lobby Backend applications in live production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven backend architectures.
• Solid experience developing and maintaining GraphQL APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and/or MongoDB for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Must be based in Colombia or Chile.
