What you will do

• Own and evolve the Kendo UI Themes framework across multiple JS and .NET ecosystems.
• Architect and implement migration paths from SCSS to CSS custom properties for runtime theme switching.
• Develop AI-enabled tooling, including MCP servers and prompt-to-theme pipelines.
• Implement perceptually uniform color generation using OKLCH with contrast validation.
• Contribute to CLI and programmatic APIs for multi-format output generation.
• Champion accessibility-first engineering and collaborate with designers on intuitive theming APIs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Design or Front-End Engineer.
• Deep expertise in React, modern JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Strong command of SCSS/Sass architecture and large-scale variable management.
• Experience building design systems, component libraries, or theming frameworks.
• Solid understanding of CSS custom properties, modern color spaces, and monorepo tooling.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled developer tools and Node.js backend tooling.
• Must be based in or able to work from Sofia, Bulgaria (Hybrid role).
• English proficiency required for asynchronous collaboration.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the DTCG specification.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for library publishing.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards like WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA and APCA.
