Principal Build & Integration Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop system-level integration plans and satellite build flows for the Mega-class satellite.
• Partner with production teams to improve build efficiency and refine manufacturing workflows.
• Create processes and tools that reduce nonconformances throughout vehicle integration.
• Serve as the integration point of contact for vehicle- and stacked-vehicle-level proto-qualification.
• Drive electrical and mechanical design improvements focused on design for integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, aerospace, mechanical, or another engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in integration engineering, including relevant internships and hardware-intensive projects.
• Experience improving production processes and workflows in a high-rate manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CAD software and models, clean rooms, ESD-sensitive equipment, and lift operations.
• Experience creating GSE, tooling, or shipping containers and qualifying large assemblies through proof, vibration, shock, TVAC, or acoustic testing.
• Access to the role’s information and items requires U.S. person status under ITAR or eligibility for a federally issued export-control license.

Nice to have

• Python proficiency.
• Experience in testing or automation, launch integration, or payload integration.
• Active security clearance.
