Technical Lead (Go)

TL;DR

Technical Lead (Go/Backend): Building and scaling the delivery product with an accent on technical strategy, architectural improvements, and team delivery. Focus on designing high-load systems, optimizing inter-service communication, and implementing comprehensive observability strategies.

Location: Hybrid in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Relocation package is provided.

What you will do

• Translate business needs into a technical strategy aligned with global company goals.
• Identify and implement architectural improvements across product and platform using data-driven analysis.
• Design and optimize backend services and high-load database queries (SQL/NoSQL).
• Lead technical research and own the development lifecycle from RFCs to release and monitoring.
• Mentor engineers, provide feedback via 1:1s, and establish effective knowledge-sharing processes.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, Security, and SRE stakeholders to defend and refine technical solutions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of commercial backend engineering experience in high-load environments.
• Expert proficiency in the Go programming language and its advanced features.
• Deep understanding of efficient client-server interaction and sync/async communication.
• Experience designing observability strategies (metrics, dashboards, logging, tracing).
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and cloud services, preferably AWS.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Almaty, Kazakhstan.
