What you will do

• Ensure safety-relevant functions are correctly implemented across hardware, software, and ML components.
• Conduct hardware and software safety analyses including FMEA/FMECA and diagnostic coverage.
• Define safety mechanisms such as redundancies, monitoring, and safe-state strategies.
• Manage system requirements and ensure full traceability across the engineering lifecycle.
• Support regulatory compliance and environmental documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with system safety, product security, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Hands-on expertise in hardware/software safety and fault-tolerant system design.
• Experience translating safety functions into verifiable system requirements.
• Ability to present quantitative safety arguments using metrics like PFH, PFHd, and PL.
• Strong collaboration skills to bridge safety analysis and engineering implementation.
• Comfortable working with software development tools like GitHub, VS Code, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be able to work on-site in Munich, Germany.
