What you will do
- Manage civil-military engagement with Israeli military authorities through the Joint Coordination Board and CMCoord Center.
- Administer the Humanitarian Notification System (HNS) as a designated focal point, ensuring movement notifications are processed and tracked.
- Establish and maintain relationships with humanitarian partners to troubleshoot and negotiate access-related issues.
- Maintain dialogue with various military actors in the oPT to resolve operational constraints and ensure mutual information exchange.
- Advise military forces on the structures and dynamics of coordination within the international humanitarian community.
- Analyze humanitarian access data and produce reports and snapshots to support advocacy efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in humanitarian access, civil-military coordination, or related fields.
- Fluency in English; Arabic or Hebrew is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in highly stressful, fluid, and challenging environments.
- Willingness to travel to challenging field environments, including Gaza and the West Bank.
- Must be based in Jerusalem.
Nice to have
- UN-CMCoord or Global Access Training.
- Experience working in Middle East countries, specifically the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
- Capacity to train others in coordination processes.
