TL;DR
Senior Embedded/Electrical Designer (C/C++/Python): Designing and supporting complex safety-critical embedded systems across development, integration, production, and maintenance with an accent on electrical schematics, CAN/CANopen, and hardware-related programming. Focus on troubleshooting, analyzing real-time systems, developing in Codesys and Python, and supporting cross-functional teams throughout the product life cycle.
Location: Gothenburg, Sweden. Work model: On-site.

What you will do
- Participate in electrical design and work with electrical schematics at circuit and system level.
- Develop hardware-related software, mainly in Codesys (IEC 61131-3) and Python.
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and provide technical support for development, integration, and production.
- Work with CAN/CANopen-based systems and support product development across the full life cycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams while working independently when required.
- Follow established processes and guidelines in a confidential, security-sensitive environment.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Solid experience with CAN and CANopen.
- Strong background in hardware-related programming, such as C/C++, plus development experience in Codesys (IEC 61131-3) and Python.
- Good understanding of safety-critical real-time systems.
- Experience with electrical design, electrical schematics, measurement techniques, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently, make structured decisions, communicate effectively, and collaborate in teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with power electronics.
- Knowledge of system safety according to EN 13849.
