TL;DR

Automotive System Engineer (Automotive): Developing innovative demos, proof-of-concepts, and system solutions using NXP automotive chips and software with an accent on ADAS, in-vehicle networks, and E/E architectures. Focus on integrating embedded software, performing system studies, and solving complex challenges in multi-hardware environments.

Location: Eindhoven, Netherlands (Hybrid). Relocation support provided for the Netherlands.

What you will do

  • Define and develop innovative demos and proof-of-concepts using NXP automotive hardware and software.
  • Contribute to software integration and system studies for ADAS, IVI, and connectivity modules.
  • Explore automotive standards, simulation tools, and innovative solutions for future vehicle architectures.
  • Collaborate with internal NXP teams and external partners to solve complex technical problems.
  • Create visualizations from complex data sets to facilitate discussions with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • BSc, MSc, PDEng, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technologies, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English (verbal and written) is required.
  • Expertise in modern C++, embedded C, Python, Linux, and CI/CD infrastructure.
  • Experience with ARM-based embedded automotive processors and network devices.
  • Practical experience with automotive communication standards and Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) Ethernet.
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle-level simulation tools like OMNEST, ChronSIM, or Pegase.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of electronics design for HW-SW integration.
  • Experience with NXP S32 Automotive devices and S32 Design Studio.
  • Familiarity with open-source self-driving software.
