What you will do

• Lead and scale the Nairobi Digital Hub as a multidisciplinary engineering organization.
• Define and execute the digital platform strategy, including architecture, data platforms, and AI integration.
• Drive end-to-end business development, from pipeline creation to deal closure and commercial structuring.
• Oversee the design, build, and operation of shared platforms and reusable components.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing engineering and product talent.
• Represent the organization as a senior leader with clients, governments, and private sector partners.

Requirements

• 15+ years in software engineering, digital platforms, or technology leadership.
• Proven success in business development, sales, or commercial roles.
• Must have the right to work in Kenya.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern software architectures.
• Experience leading engineering teams and scaling digital platform organizations.
• Ability to operate at the intersection of technology, product development, and commercial strategy.

Nice to have

• Experience building or scaling digital health or data-driven health platforms.
• Exposure to managed services or SaaS-style business models.
• Background in global development or large-scale public-sector digital programs.
