What you will do

• Scale and tune high-throughput PostgreSQL clusters to support global expansion.
• Build and operate vector data capabilities, including pgvector and dedicated VectorDB platforms.
• Strengthen high-availability, disaster-recovery, and backup procedures.
• Reduce manual operational work by building automation and self-service database workflows.
• Improve observability, alert quality, and database security through robust access controls and patching.
• Partner with service and AI teams to drive performance patterns and operational readiness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating PostgreSQL in high-volume production environments.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals, replication, and performance tuning.
• Practical experience with VectorDB or vector search systems like pgvector, Qdrant, or Milvus.
• Strong experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Solid fundamentals in Linux, storage, networking, and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Strong communication skills for cross-team collaboration and documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience with SRE methodologies like error budgets and operational reviews.
• Strong scripting or programming ability in Python, Go, or Rust.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD or GitHub Actions.
• Exposure to multi-region disaster-recovery designs.
• Experience supporting AI, retrieval, or recommendation systems.
