What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert for product areas like Search, Payments, and Shipping.
• Lead QA efforts in feature definition, ensuring comprehensive user stories and accurate acceptance criteria.
• Manage and maintain mobile automation tests using frameworks like Detox and Maestro.
• Evolve QA practices toward AI-native quality engineering, moving away from manual-testing-centric workflows.
• Triage automated testing runs on GitHub Actions and analyze quality metrics to maintain standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Tokyo and the US to drive product growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA methodologies and software testing, specifically for Android or iOS.
• Proven experience as an AI-native practitioner, actively using AI tools in development and testing workflows.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (Java, Python, etc.) and REST APIs.
• Experience with Git, JIRA, TestRail, and AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
• English: Business level (CEFR B2 or higher) required.
• Demonstrated leadership in QA strategy, test planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience working in remotely distributed teams across different time zones.
• Background in customer-facing apps or large-scale e-commerce businesses.
• Basic Japanese proficiency (CEFR A2).
