Head IT Governance and Risk (Banking)

What you will do

• Lead regional IT governance and technology risk management for the private bank in Asia.
• Design, implement, and enhance governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures for IT operations, projects, change, outsourcing, and cloud services.
• Maintain the IT risk register and coordinate risk identification, assessment, treatment plans, RCSAs, risk scenarios, and key risk indicators.
• Oversee first-line IT controls covering access, change, incidents, vulnerabilities, patching, end-of-life technology, and end-user computing.
• Coordinate audit and regulatory responses, drive remediation, and provide risk reporting to IT and operational risk committees in Singapore and Hong Kong.
• Partner with Information Security, Compliance, Non-Financial Risk, COO functions, and IT stakeholders to strengthen governance and risk culture.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in IT governance, technology risk, or IT control roles within banking, preferably private banking or wealth management.
• Strong understanding of MAS technology and operational risk expectations.
• Familiarity with Singapore and Hong Kong regulatory frameworks, including MAS, HKMA, and SFC guidance.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, ITIL, COBIT, and cyber risk practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including experience engaging auditors, regulators, and senior management.
• Ability to operate at senior level, challenge constructively, and drive change across multiple IT domains.
