Data Analyst

TL;DR

Data Analyst: Delivering insightful data analytics and BI solutions to elevate operational performance for defence services programs with an accent on Power BI development, data modeling, and automated reporting. Focus on transforming decision-making processes through advanced data extraction, pre-processing, and financial analysis.

Location: Must be based in Australia and able to work on-site at HMAS Watson 2-3 days a week.

What you will do

• Create and maintain customer reporting dashboards to meet contract requirements.
• Develop and implement data analytics reports for external customers and program management using BI tools.
• Analyze current processes and performance metrics to recommend continuous improvements.
• Support data architecture mapping and the creation of robust data models.
• Perform monthly financial analysis for governance reviews and identify discrepancies.

Requirements

• Must be an Australian Citizen to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, data engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in data analytics and dashboard management.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including M, DAX, R, and Python.
• Ability to work on-site at HMAS Watson 2-3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience in database design and data modeling.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Jira, Planisware, and SharePoint.
• Experience using MS Office Suite products.
