Mechanical Engineer

TL;DR

Mechanical Engineer: Responsible for end-to-end mechanical design and development of stainless-steel fixtures, valves, and ancillary components from concept through production with an accent on manufacturing methods (sheet metal, casting, machining, and injection molding). Focus on troubleshooting mechanical issues during development, production, and testing phases for various mechanical components.

Location: Onsite in Oviedo, FL. You will be required to work in the office at the Oviedo location (Monday – Friday).

What you will do

• Research, design, and develop stainless-steel fixtures, valves, and ancillary components utilizing various manufacturing methods.
• Perform lab testing and gather data to support prototype validation and performance evaluation.
• Work with outside vendors to develop components.
• Finalize and verify tooling and product designs for molding/production purposes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during development, production, and testing phases for various mechanical components.
• Work cross-functionally with electrical, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure project alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience with new product development.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and manufacturing drawings.
• Previous work experience with project management and new product design.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ASME, ASSE, and plumbing industry standards.
• Experience with high security, anti-ligature, or vandal-resistant product design.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
