What you will do

• Act as the primary interface with Japanese OEM customers to clarify specifications and negotiate deadlines.
• Manage the end-to-end requirement process flow, ensuring distribution to stakeholders and timely delivery.
• Lead the engineering team to achieve requirement agreements and maintain data in management tools.
• Own the Change Request (CR) process, coordinating technical analysis and effort estimations.
• Track and report process performance using KPIs, focusing on traceability and completeness.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience working with or for a Japanese automotive supplier or carmaker.
• Fluent communication skills in both English and Japanese.
• Strong leadership skills and a governance-oriented mindset.
• Ability to interpret complex customer specifications and proactively surface risks.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).

Nice to have

• Experience with DOORS or DOORS Next Generation (DNG).
• Knowledge of Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process models.
• Familiarity with RFI/RFQ processes and configuration management baselining.
