TL;DR

Senior Software Developer (Android/Automotive): Developing and optimizing Android-based speech framework software for automotive interfaces with an accent on AOSP, AIDL, and system-level performance. Focus on implementing customer-specific speech dialog interfaces and optimizing memory and CPU consumption on target platforms.

Location: Hybrid, based in Seoul, South Korea

What you will do

  • Analyze product requirements to define Android framework configurations for customer projects.
  • Implement customer-specific speech dialog interfaces using Android infrastructure and AIDL.
  • Integrate dependencies to native Android interfaces, speech assistants, and speech-controlled applications.
  • Measure and optimize memory and CPU usage on target platforms to improve latency and performance.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to determine optimal framework setups.
  • Assist project teams with localization and defect reproduction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience.
  • Strong expertise in Android, Java, Kotlin, and C/C++.
  • In-depth knowledge of AOSP, AIDL, Binder, Lifecycle, and System Services.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Korean.
  • Must be based in the Seoul office (Hybrid).

Nice to have

  • Experience with Git/GitLab, Artifactory, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Background in embedded software development.
  • Familiarity with unit test frameworks such as Google Test or Jest.
  • Knowledge of speech recognition technologies.
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM and ASPICE processes.
