Focus on influencing donor and ministry prioritization, conducting stakeholder power mapping, and scaling resilient education systems.

What you will do
- Design and implement a comprehensive policy and advocacy strategy across country programs to promote Learning through Play.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and power mapping to identify and target strategic decision-makers.
- Collaborate with communication teams to produce print and digital products and multi-media solutions for mass dissemination.
- Develop and lead advocacy capacity building workshops for IRC and partner staff at global, regional, and country levels.
- Represent the PlayMatters project in interagency groups and maintain strategic relationships with UN agencies and ministries.
- Develop and track a Learning through Play Advocacy workplan aligned with overall project goals.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Global Education, psychology, or a relevant discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in policy or advocacy related to children, education, or health.
- Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills for leading workshops with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of early childhood development, humanitarian programming, and international policies.
- Excellent writing and editing skills for drafting reports, memos, and proposals.
- Ability to work from the Kampala office with approximately 30% travel.
