What you will do

• Investigate how AI tools reshape essential competencies and student agency in electrical engineering education.
• Analyze student interaction with AI in hands-on environments like labs, makerspaces, and project-based courses.
• Design and test new assessment approaches that make students' reasoning and decision-making visible.
• Utilize design-based research, learning analytics, and qualitative methods to develop pedagogical frameworks.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to align learning objectives with AI-supported tools.
• Contribute to academic publications in engineering education and the learning sciences.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in engineering, education, learning sciences, or a related field.
• Strong interest in electrical engineering education and the role of AI in learning processes.
• Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
• Excellent command of English.
• Must be able to relocate to the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Affinity with technical research in AI or data analysis.
