What you will do

• Review and make final decisions on complex proposals ensuring adherence to AI underwriting standards.
• Manage and nurture key broker relationships as the primary broker-facing account lead.
• Collaborate with leadership to refine appetite, pricing, and coverage strategies based on market feedback.
• Mentor and coach a team of Associate Underwriters to maximize quote throughput and efficiency.
• Provide insights to enhance the codification and automation of the proposal engine.
• Negotiate and finalize quotes with brokers, ensuring transparency and trust.

Requirements

• Proven experience in casualty underwriting within the E&S or specialty insurance market.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex risks and make informed underwriting decisions.
• Strong track record of building and maintaining productive broker relationships.
• US Work Authorization is required; hirify.global does not provide visa sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% (once per quarter).
