What you will do

• Engineer, program, and commission PLC, DCS, and HMI-based control systems using Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms.
• Design control architectures including safety interlocks, alarming strategies, and historian integrations.
• Develop functional requirements and procurement specifications for I&C components and integrated systems.
• Prepare wiring schematics, loop sheets, I/O lists, and technical reports for stakeholders.
• Establish and enforce software configuration management practices, including version control and formal reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead process improvement through automation and AI-enabled methods.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process control and instrumentation engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk systems.
• US citizenship and active DOE Q Clearance.
• Proficiency in software configuration management and producing technical engineering documentation.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related engineering discipline.
• Experience with PlantPAx, OPC UA, Process Historians, and industrial networking.
• Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), PHA, ISA standards, NFPA, and NEC codes.
• Experience integrating advanced analytics or AI/ML techniques into industrial control environments.
