TL;DR

Cloud Services Engineer (Azure): Lead cloud transformation projects and design secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for critical government missions with an accent on DevSecOps methodologies, Kubernetes environments, and compliance frameworks. Focus on architecting high-availability solutions, implementing infrastructure as code, and optimizing cloud-native deployments for performance and security.

Location: Onsite in Washington, DC or Denver, CO. Able to report onsite on a daily basis.

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead design, development, and deployment of secure Azure cloud infrastructures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define architectures, migration strategies, and optimizations.
• Architect Kubernetes environments using self-hosted or managed services like AKS, EKS, GKE.
• Provide guidance on cloud security, compliance (FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST), and IaC best practices.
• Support migrations to IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and automate infrastructure with Terraform, ARM/Bicep, PowerShell.
• Mentor engineering teams, foster problem-solving culture, and ensure alignment with project goals.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance, or willing to accept interim Top Secret or Secret.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 2-5+ years in cloud architecture with hands-on Azure experience.
• Expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, IaC (Ansible, Terraform, ARM, Bicep), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of cloud security, networks, identity management (Azure AD).
• Proficient in PowerShell, Python; customer-facing experience translating business to technical requirements.
• Able to report onsite daily in Washington, DC or Denver, CO.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or Azure Solutions Architect certification.
• DevSecOps, microservices, cloud cost optimization, monitoring tools experience.
• Government/federal environment and compliance knowledge.
